Our future depends largely on the availability of new apple varieties!
Many new apple varieties have only been introduced to the market by fruit growers with active direct marketing (direct farm sales and weekly farmers´ market). The best examples are: Elstar, Jonagold and more recently Wellant. Only when they had a great success these varieties were also planted in fruit farms with indirect marketing (cooperatives) and thus they reached the supermarkets. Direct marketers were proactive and innovative in variety testing and introduction.
Due to new marketing concepts (keyword: club concept), direct marketers hardly get any access to the cultivation of new interesting apple varieties! They are cut off from the current market situation. Without new apple varieties, direct farm marketing cannot develop further.
To put it bluntly: our future depends to a large extent on the availability of new apple varieties!
In order to jointly achieve the goals of a new apple variety, we bundle the direct marketing fruit growers in an international network.

Consisting of an experienced networker and three farm gate sales, we have built up an international network of direct marketers.
Every farm gate sales can participate in the network and is informed about the value of new varieties by
e-mail. As soon as varieties are ready for practical use, they are presented to the network.
